usually guitar packs are totally not worth it because the guitars are made badly the amps aren't very decent and the extras just suck i'd suggest you get an electric guitar, you can find some very good ones between 200-400 bucks and see if its your thing and if you already know it is invest in a good amp.
the value packs usually have horrible tone etc.

Go with the the Epiphone.

I like Fender myself, but really, pick the guitar you think looks coolest. Functionally, there is little difference.

Definately the fender. My sister has that guitar. :)

Get Epiphone, all the parts on squires (ESPECIALLY TUNERS) go out so fast and require shop work that beginners typically do not know how to do. Epiphone looks way cooler too dude, everyone has that lame squire, change stuff up.

Epiphone has a higher end of their guitars like the Les Paul Custom that retails for around 600 for just the guitar. so you can use this guitar for a while and it will still keep up with general status if you are worrying about that on stage anytime

both sweet guitars id go with squier it gives a sweet sound but if you want a guitar that u will love for the rest of your life and people will come to ure house just to warship it get a fender strat or gibson les pauls. i got a strat and i love it and im never gona give it up but the next guitar ill get will definately be les pauls

they both pretty much suck Fender just made a cheapy version of their quality guitars named "Squier" Meanwhile GIbson made one of their own also a cheapy "Epiphone"
So to tell you my honest answer none! I would get something better than this! Ibanez, Carvin, Jackson, Fender.

Squiers suck but they're good beginner guitars

Thats up to you to decide. Go to a shop and try them both out. See how they feel in your hands. the thickness of the neck and distance between the frets will be different on both guitars. You have to pick the one that is most comfortable for you.

I would suggest going to a pawn shop and looking for a good deal on a good guitar. beginner guitars are great but wear out quickly. Another suggestion would be to save up a bit more money so you can get something better which will be more rewarding in the end. both guitar packs you suggested are decent but the gibson is a bit better. They generally last longer than the squire.

I agree with the pawn shop. The issue I have with beginner guitars is that many are so poorly made that they're difficult to play. Too many beginners give up just because they've never played a decent instrument. Even playing one can be iffy because it might have old strings or strings you don't like. So wait for a deal on decent guitar and go for that.
