How much is a 2001 Fender Strat worth?

Question:I'm planning on selling my dark purple 2001 Mexican made Stratocaster. I was just wondering what a good selling price would be. I bought it for $350.00

I'm not sure about the resale value of guitars, but as a general rule you'd have to take about 50% of the price off if it's second hand and in good condition. I saw an advert in my campus classifieds for a second-hand Strat (not sure what year) plus Marshall amp and effects pedal for R2000 (about $300).
