Position:Home>Performing Arts> A good song for a 6 year old to sing in a talent show!?

Question:My daughter has been singing for a few years now and has won several talent contests (she currently has 15 trophies)!! She has another talent show coming up and we can't decide on a good song for her to sing. Any ideas?

Here's what she has already sung and won with.. but these songs are getting old to her!

"Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid
"Reflection" from Mulan (not Christina's version)
"Tomorrow" the Annie song

I have some of her videos up on youtube if you would like to hear her. These videos aren't her best, we were just playing around at home, but you can get an idea!

Maybe:
~"A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella
~"You've Got A Friend in Me"
~"At the Codfish Ball"

All of these are fun songs for little kids. I know shes young, but encourage her to hold her notes out longer. On Reflection she was tending to cut the notes off a little. She was so cute and way better at singing than me! Good luck and I hope I helped ( :

What about "Who said?" by Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. Its current and popular and very empowering for little girls.

I heard a little girl sing "if I ain't got you" by alicia keys at a karaoke restaurant it was pretty cool maybe you could have her do that one

There can be miracles when you believe- The Prince of Egypt

I Believe I Can Fly

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

I think for a change it would be cool to hear her do some Motown. It is seldom done by the young singers, but yet so singable!
