Question:So, in my school's musical, Annie Jr. we have to get our own costumes because we are on a budget. Two other girls and myself are the "dancers". So, we will do some jazz/ballet and will start with black leotards ang cut off black or tan tights. Any other ideas? Some of the songs we will be in are Hard Knock Life, N.Y.C, and I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here. Thanks so much.

Head out to the used clothes stores to find dresses, blouses, and accessories that might fit your costume.

Either cover your heads with kerchiefs, or get wigs.

try dance websites like danskin. Even algyteam.com has full outfits for any budget and lots to chose from. This is where I get my colorguard uniforms.

GAWD!!! Our schools doin annie too!!! And we have to get our own too!!!! WEIRD!
Im having the same problem...i dont know what the hell im gonna wear....i was thinking about goin to a cheap place like target or seeing if my grandma or any1 i no has anything....

Hard Knock Life is sung by the orphans, and Like it Here is sung by Annie and the servant staff, correct? So you should dress like characters appropriate for the song.

For the orphans, a simple one-piece dress, possibly buttoned down the front, maybe with a small pattern like flowers, muted colors - something that looks like a hand-me-down. I'd suggest hitting your local thrift store like Goodwill.

For the servants, something more uniform-looking. Grey or black, with perhaps an apron.
