As hokey as it may seem, I would pick something similar to what Judy Garland wore in the movie, even down to the dog.

Have you seen the TV news about Bush's visit in Jerusalem kid sang the same song and offered him a flower. Nice song tho.

Something kinda oldfashioned i guess. I would at least try to get that Dorthy pigtail hair cut w/ the curls. that would look great. I seen Catherine from American Idol perform this song (the one w/ Chris Daughtry) and it was Awesome. A song that shows lots of talent. She might just be eight but i give her some kudos for this one. This song is amazing and i wish her all the luck in the world to pull it off :D what i suggest she wear is a little dress that puffs out a little something like the movie even if its not exact they will get the idea :P Red shoes is a must and of course were would u be without a rainbow? ask the lighting people if its possible to have like a wash of various coloured lights at the end of the performance. If she is a little bit nervous give her a basket just like the one in the movie so she has something to do with her hands (i mean she can always put it down through the song). She is eight make it creative. A colorful shirt and a bouncy skirt... Maybe even her easter outfit if she has one. Or play it like Halloween make her Dorthy from the wizard of Oz. Or if you want to give her a twist doll her up like 30's or 50's if you want give her that professional club singer back then look. i am sure she will look adorable!

I think your daughter should wear red slipper shoes, and a blue dress so she'll look like Judy Garland. Also maybe put her hair is pig tails with red things holding them.
