to me, this pain is something you have to work through. I can't say I particularly enjoy it, but it doesn't bother me in the least. I'll play for a few hours and occasionally the pain is sufficient that I just have to stop. Years ago I was on a very intense military course. In the evenings, the entire course would go over to the bar and we would have a sing song, me and another fellow would play guitar, 7 hours one night and 5 then next, I actually had blood blisters on the ens of my fingers. I don't want to disappoint you, but after a while the pain goes away as your fingers toughen up. good luck.

U r a freak

Well...the pain might be a sign that your improving..so...it seems like an acomplishment that ur working hard and making your fingers hurt. It shows your getting farther..and you want them to hurt because it shows that you are doing good. I used to play..and was kinda happy when that happned cuz i thought "Hey...i must be doing this right!!!"

OK freak girl, how about the pain on the sides and back from finger musle pain and soreness too. Not JUST the tips.

Well I think that means you are improving and you love playing the guitar. Thats good... i guess cause then you won't want to stop playing because it doesn't bother you!

pain eh? nope your not a freak i like the feeling of the pain in my mouth after playing the clarinet it just means you pushed your self and pain does not bug u

yes u are techically a emo. but it is normal when u pplay guitar

I'm not going to judge, but if the practice turns to blisters, you're going to hate the pain then. Slow up. Do a little each day until your fingers harden.

you like it painful, huh? we should get together

heh heh

lol i remember those days. Now i have callases on my entire left hand. lol

some people stop when their fingers started hurting but i knew that the pain would lead to a callis(i have no idea how to spell callis) but that a callis would lead to easier playing. I just picked a chord that used all 4 fingers and slid it up and down the neck til it hurt. ohhh good times.

Yes, I agree. I love the pain that my guitar brings me. I also have tendonitis, so sometimes playing guitar for extended amounts of time hurts my wrist incredibly, it swelled up once, but I love it. I haven't played until my fingers started bleeding......yet........lol. In fact, I think I'll go work on that now....hehe

Its not that yr a freak its that you know is no pain no gain...build those callouses, and keep on rockin
