Mold eh? That's a new one. If you have a plastic clarinet I wouldn't worry too much about it, soap and water it up darling. If you're worried about the cork, apply some cork grease (repels water) and then dry it off after you wash it. Trust me there's a lot of moisture in that cork every time you play your clarinet, it's not going to harm it. If you have a wooden clarinet, I would consider buying some mouthpiece wash/disinfectant, the only time I really used it though was when I was going to lend someone my mouthpiece, or I borrowed someone who I thought I might not want to share germs with... Good luck dear, a lot of people have a lot of differing opinions on caring for instruments.

Clean your clarinet mouthpiece in lukewarm water, unless it's a Vintage Ebonite one (wash in cold water). Then, gently scrub with a soft mouthpiece scrub. Dry off thoroughly using cloth.

if u have a wooden clarinet i wouldnt. If its plastic yes...honestly the mouthpiece doesnt really make a difference. I always did or it gets digusting. If u relaly dont want to get a small sponge and wet it so ur not wetting the cork. good luck. it should be fine.

I take a little brush, dip in diluted lukewarm bleach water and scrub inside and out. Then, just dry with a clean rag like you normally do.
