Position:Home>Performing Arts> What is a person that sings Alto 1 Soprano 2 called?

Question:I sing Alto 1 and Soprano 2 and I was wondering if there was a specfic name for it or is it just special to sing both of these ranges.
I sometimes have a difficult time finding songs that do not go too low or too high so that I can sing them. (I sing a lot of solos on special occasions in Church.)
Am I different or do more people have the same problem.

You are likely a mezzo soprano. That literally means "middle high voice"
A mezzo typically can sing from low A (just below middle C) to the G or A just above the treble staff, though everyone is different. :)
