Go to www.freecycle.org. Craig's List may have what you are looking for, but many peoples are SELLING their stuff there. According to Freecycle's rules, anything that a person is offering must be given away for free. All you have to do is sign up in your area, and post a "want" ad for what you are looking for. On the same note, you can also "offer" anything that you need to get rid of - even old appliances. Good Luck!! People are giving away LOTS of cool stuff on there.

P.S. The posts will only be shown to the group in your area, so you don't have to find a way to get what you need from the other side of the country. It's right in your city!
