I want to learn how to sing?

Question:hi guys
i want to learn how to sing but i have a terrible voice whenever i sang on the microphone it sounds so bad. Whenever i sing i use the pressure inside of my neck.
Is there a chance having a great voice if i do some practice?
Even if i am not born having a great voice.

Definitely.

First of all you need to determine what range your voice is, bass, baritone, or tenor and concentrate on the particular capabilities at that range.

Secondly, it would help you to get some private lessons but it will cost you some money. Lessons usually start at about $30 for a half hour, it can be done on a weekly or monthly basis.

If you don't want to spend the money, I would recommend that you start with a good video vocal tutor,

it will show you techniques for the critical singing areas:

- Breathing
- Posture
- Tone
- Enunciation

It is difficult to describe all of the particulars in written form since specific bodily functions are required, a vocal teacher usually stand with you and observes whether you are doing it right and if not directs you on how to. A video, cannot observe you but it will give you an illustration of how it should be done.

You don't have to have spectacular voice to sing good. The vocal chords are muscles and like any other muscles, require exercise, you just need some instruction and training, lot's of training.

My singning teacher told me that we have all the same vocal cords and its a manner of techique only. Practice and take singning lessons if only for yourself.
