This is based upon an *assumption* about this flute, since I have not seen it, not have you give us the particulars. BUT - if this flute is nickel, or silver-plated over nickel or brass, closed hole, C foot, needing new pads, COA (clean/oil/adjust) and have any finish problems - wear, tarnish, dents, etc. - then it has minimal value for insurance - less than fifty dollars. That does not mean you could SELL it for that - I do not think you could sell it at ALL. If, however, it is new scale (made after 1963) solid silver (even the head alone) open hole, B foot, gizmo key, if it is open hole, I bet it is INLINE G - then insured value would rise a little - maybe $150. still- no resale value.

On ebay every day, there are about 2,000 flute for sale. Most a re beneath consideration - but if you watch long enough, a flute like yours may come up. I would predict that THEIRS won't sell, either. Even the websites that maintain serial number listing for good-to-fabulous flutes will not list Wurlitzer - they were never in that league.

Try asking this question on Flute list they are a group off professional players/ teachers that may have more specialised knowledge! Or you could search their archives
