Actually, Practice makes permanent! If you want to improve your coordination, slow down. Learn to do it right at the slowest possible speed that you can do it, and then speed it up very gradually until you can do it just a little bit faster than you need to. This goes hand in hand with the individual who recommended Tai Chi (a very good suggestion by the way) but in a more basic sense. Complicated movements are only a series of simple movements done well, done in order, and done with confidence. Break your movements down into their basic components and learn the patterns. Once you have mastered the pattern, master time. Learn to trust your muscles kinesthetic memory (the reason you can touch your nose in the dark without poking your eye out) and let your mind know in no uncertain terms that you intend to depend on it. Most clumsiness comes from anxiety and fear, and anxiety and fear come from not knowing yourself and where your authority comes from. It is simply time for you to be the boss of you! Don't beat yourself up over it, just resolve to find your spiritual, physical, and cognitive center and insist that they all start getting along and working together.

I would recommend taking Tai Chi, as it can greatly help your sense of proprioception (where your limbs and body are in space). It can help to make your movements more controlled and "instinctive".

Your vision , your dreams
Your goals & accomplishments
Your focus, speed, agility
Your courage, your strength,
Your belief in yourself

First, ....you have to see yourself as a winner.
You have to beleive in yourself enough to practice, train hard enough to go for the gold! Go for the Medal...go for the trophy. that is what sports is all about winning....that's why everyone practices in their sports. In hopes of becoming a winner someday.

Remember, "practice makes perfect"....
I know it's a painful, boring, repetitious rule, but it is very, very true with in anything in life. You get out what you put into anything. If you are a runner. You have to do your quick sprints, your quarter miles, your long distance marathons in order to be the very best runner you can be. You'll never be a winner if you dont do your practice routine, your excersies, you know? Sitting on the bench won't make you winner. Excellence is created by much, much practice.

Practice improves mental agility, heightens your senses, it also improves your hand- eye coordination. Practice is what makes winners...winners. Practice is for your own good...IT IS NOT to kill you. It is make you a very strong winner.

What would Tiger Woods be if he did not practice?
What would Luke Skywalker be if he didnt train with Yoda?
What would Kelly Clarkson be if she didnt practice her routines?

I used to ride mountain bikes for 20 years. That kept me in great shape. Yes, I crashed a lot, got hit a couple of times, broke some bones, have many scars on my legs, knees & arms from all my accidents.....but I still got back on the bike and rode on because I loved the "high!" =)

I'm also a drummer. I would not be where I am today if I didnt practice...=)
