Learning to play drums?

Question:I already know how to play a lot of other instruments, but I'm considering drums... what can you tell me about them? anything in particular that I need to know?

buy a practice pad to start. practice rudiments

They are cool. My brother taught himself how to play them when he was in the seventh grade. He is in 11th grade now and can play any instrument he picks up. Just keep practicing. If you get good you can play in drum corps, like my bother did (except he tried out and made it on baritone, not drums). But you have to be mega super good to do that. Good luck!!
