Position:Home>Performing Arts> Where can I buy the Yamaha 471 Flute? It is part of the Allegro line...?

Question:Is there any website where I can buy it online? At a local dealer, it costs approximately $1900 and I was wondering if any reliable websites sold it online. (even though it is part of the Allegro line, which I'm assuming is usually available in-store)

In my opinion, an armstromg or gemeinhardt flute is much better than a yamaha. if you are looking to but it online go with an authorized dealer and not off of ebay. I had a problem with buying instruments on ebay and will never do it again. as for the type of screws, it really does not matter as long as it holds the flute together. the more important features are the B foot, open hole and silver plating. if you end up buying it at a music store you will probably end up paying more than you would if you bought it online. what I did was test 5 different flutes in the store and bought the one I liked online for $200 cheaper.

best of luck

This is another website that sells instruments. I know they have Yamaha flutes, however I am not sure about the 471. I am going next weekend to fluteworld to try some flutes out (about 20) :). Most of your websites and stores are going to sell instruments for approzimately the same price. If you can afford it the Sakyo CF-401 is an excellent flute too. My favorite thus far that I have tried out..Compared to the Brio line (Gemeinhardt).
