Would you go to the circus?

Question:if you knew there was going to be "dancing" bears and other performing animals?

I think it is cruel, the animals should be in their natural habitats not being hit with sticks and punished for not performing to make someone a big wad of cash.

No. I cannot stand any form of animal cruelty, and the circus should be outlawed as the evil anachronism that it is.
It is true that we all dance to some tune or other, but more often than not we do have freedom to decide the dance we want to perform:: not so for these poor creatures who are forced, (using torture and drugs) to submit to the humiliating demands put upon them by these vile, merciless predators. GRRRR

I agree. No I would not visit a circus that had animal perfomances. I can't believe they still exist.

Definately not. Animals should be banned from circus performing. Must be so scary for them.

no, I refuse to take my children to circus' they are cruel, we do not need to be entertained by drugged animals performing things they are no supposed to do, the same for zoos

I'm ashamed to admit that I am old enough to remember when the circus meant elephants, Lions, horses, dogs and the rest.....I agree that now it seems cruel and it was, but at the time the Lions were great as were the elephants.....so a circus for me does not seem the same without them...although I agree things change as time goes on...often for the better.

i think the elephants would make a song and dance if they werent happy about it.

oh no..not if they have animals in there show.even if they are treated decently it is still not there natural environment.bears elephants and other wild animals should not be used as performing acts no matter how well you treat them.they certainly cant have much room in there living quarters on a travelling circus.at least at a zoo they have a large enuff area to roam around in. and have a peacefull lifestyle which isnt the case in a circus.
i absolutely refuse to contribute money to such things and lok forward to the day when it is actually banned for using animals in acts.

There is nothing worse than seeing a Lion jumping through hoops or sitting on a stool begging.

"Exactly", Animals in Zoo's always look depressed to me,even more so in the circus,but, there again ,We,are all part of one BIG circus,there's always someone crackin the whip, and pocketing the proceeds....
