Is there an opera more popular at Christmas time?

Just wondering if there is an Opera that is more popular at Christmas time? Been working the Magic Flute for the past 10 days. Had quite a few families today. I remembered seeing British stamps of Christmas Performing Arts depictions.

A poor, crippled boy who lives with his widowed mother and one winter night (when there is a very large and bright star in the sky) they receive a visit from 3 kings who are following the star to bring gifts to The Child. Ultimately, after learning about The Child from the kings, Amahl offers to send his crutch as a gift because it is all that he has. As he hands the crutch to the kings he is healed and accompanies the kings to Bethlehem to give the crutch to The Child himself.

The music is very beautiful, the lyrics engaging and the story filled with humor, as well as love and hopefulness. Listening to the recording of it has been a Christmas tradition in my family since I was a little girl and is still one of my most treasured Christmas memories.
