How were pageant wagons designed?

Basically what I'm looking for is the structure, how tall the average wagon was. Oh yeah and what year they were invented.


Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No one is really 100% sure of the structure and appearance of them because there aren't any known eye-witness drawings or descriptions of them- just a parts list from one of the guilds that used them. That said, they were most closely associated with the medieval English mystery plays performed in cities like York and Wakefield from the late 14th to the mid-16th centuries.
