I have a fender Starcaster. Whenever I play the first 3 or 4 frets of the first 4 strings it makes a very flat noise that doesn't even sound like a note. why is this happening and how can i fix it?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Look at the frets and see if the have wore down flat. If not you may have to raise th bridge a little bit. Sometimes the neck of the guirar is too straight and the truss rod needs to be loosened to give the neck a slight bow. Good luck and hope this helps.
