Position:Home>Performing Arts> The song "Solitude" from the Kate Chopin book "The Awakening"Question: The song "Solitude" from the Kate Chopin book "The Awakening"?I am looking for the song that Madame Reize (sp?) plays for Mrs. Pontillier in the book "The Awakening" by Kate Chopin. Who arranged it and where can I find a pdf of it?? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It's probably the piano prelude in E minor (Opus 28 No.4) by Frederic Chopin [no relation]. Alternatively it could be one of these, also by F.Chopin: Nocturne No. 2 in E Flat, Opus 9 Nocturne C Sharp Minor ㉴ude in G Minor I don't think the novel states the name of the music; Mrs.P. nicknames it "Solitude" and another character refers to a prelude by Chopin. The website I've cited gives one list of possible music. Hope you find it! http://www.pbs.org/katechopin/credits.ht... |
