The Pegs On My Violin Arent Sticking!!!?

I was practicing scales for my orchestra final when I noticed that my d string was low. When I went to pluck it, it had popped. So then I went to tune it and then the peg wouldnt stay put.And in the process of trying to get my d string right, my a string popped. What is a good way to get the pegs to stick?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There's this little tube that looks like lipstick that you can buy--it's brown and chalky and it's made for pegs. Don't know what it's called.
