It doesnot matter what time of the day you go or what opera you are attending. You need to wear clothing that is comfortable but upscale and attractive. Semi formal clothing is optimal. whether you wear a pair of dress pants and a button up shirt or blouse, a nice non flower pattern skirt (something more modern or even a silkier shinier fabric would be good), or a some what casual dress; no neon or bright colored fabrics, and no jeans, and no floral prints or pastel colors. The Opera or Ballet much like a concert is a serious artistic function and need to be respected so plan ahead incase there are any problems or diffiulties.
