Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Ahh...yes, I remember those days. I secretly hid my talent until I was 16 because I was so frightened of what people would think especially my family. Today I'm 38 and I have been a studio singer since age 23. If you live in a larger city it will be easier. I started hanging out in bars with bands and got to know them and it snowballed from there. There is hope, darlin'. But at your age, another great place to start is community theater. Mostly all cities have them and it's a good way to get your nerves in order. First with the audition process and then actually getting into a show. Chorus is usually a good start. YOU'LL ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT AND NEVER REGRET IT!!!
