Question: What were war-brides and victory homes after WWII!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
War brides were foreign born women whom the GI's married while overseas (usually England, France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Philippines and Japan) and brought back to the US!.

Following WWII, the Veteran's Administration implemented a home loan guaranty program (still in existence today) that allowed returning veterans to buy homes with little or no down payment!. At the time, most conventional home loans required 20% down!. The "Victory Homes" infused the economy with new home construction and was a major factor in the post WWII economic recovery in the US!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
