I would have to say "like a young child growing up, the opening of the West, the claiming of the Western lands for settlement and the shame of the Indians and the way they were treated for Gold and their lands!.
The trappers and the slaughter of the Buffalo, the lands were not all happy go lucky we destroyed a lot to gain a little before we learned a lesson to late to soon!.

We fought un=necessary wars, invaded unnecessary lands and destroyed people almost to extinction!. I know this is not what you want to hear but it's there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
