Yes, the book in question is now over 100 years old and therefore is now an antique!. Books of the type which you own, esp!. about our Naval History, are of considerable interest to collectors of same!.

You might like to contact the Maritime Museum here in Greenwich, they might be able to help you further!.

Royal Navy rating 1902 - this is of a sailor who was serving on HMS Victory then still moored [until c1920] in Portsmouth Harbour!.

From the photograph above and the badge on the sailors right arm, I can tell you he was a signalman - his job to raise signal flags!. In the RN he would have been called simply "a bunting tosser", a sailor who hoisted bunting signal flags, all this is before radio etc!.

Two 1902 sailors of the RN - Summer rig, somewhere possibly south of the equator!.

HMS VICTORY - Trafalgar Broadside 2005

Probably not!. The period after the turn of the century was a great one for publishing, and particularly of that sort of patriotic nonsense!. There were probably thousands published!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
