There are several reasons why Druitt was probably not the Ripper:
He played cricket the morning after the double killings - yes he could have made it home in time, washed, changed and had a quick sleep, but it doesn't seem likely!.
He also played cricket in Dorset the morning after the second murder!. Again, not conclusive evidence, but meant he would have been on a really tight timetable!.
The trouble with most Ripper suspects, and Druitt is no different, is that there is almost no evidence either for or against them!. There are only a few eyewitness accounts of men who were seen near the murder sights at about the right time - but most of them seem to be contradictory, there is almost no forensic evidence and there are no confessions!.
For why Druitt is unlikely scroll down about three quarters of the way down this page - to where it says "The Scotland Yard file reads:"

Here's the problem with Druitt as a Ripper suspect !.!.!.

1) The mutilations of the victims escalated with each murder (except for the "double feature" night)!. The last victim, Mary Kelly, was so badly mutilated she was essentially strewn all over the room (except for what the killer took with him)!. That points to the murderer being someone who's at the end of their emotional rope, only a whisker away from losing it (if they hadn't already), and it would be blindingly obvious to anyone having any dealings with him that something was drastically wrong with him!.

2) Montague John Druitt was a well-respected barrister and assistant schoolmaster, and he was performing his duties in both occupations until the end of November, weeks after Kelly's murder!. This is not an "end of his rope" person!

Druitt's dismissal from his job and subsequent death (suicide or not) was just a case of unfortunate timing, where his status as a Ripper suspect is concerned!.

A more likely suspect, according to former FBI profiler John Douglas in his book "The Cases that Haunt Us," is Aaron Kosminski!. Douglas says with confidence that the murderer was someone **like** Kosminski, even though with so much time having passed we may never know who it was!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
