Politics is whatever the current elected officials decide will be our policies for operating the government, our attitudes and positions regarding ourselves and other countries!.

Political change occurs when a new group of elected officials takes control of the majority of our government and decides our policies will be different than before!. Sometimes that is a change from Republicans to Democrats, other times it is from Liberals to Conservatives!.

Although we have had 8 years of a Republican President, the Democrats have controlled the House and so many ideas have not been passed into laws because they could not agree!.

The real political change to me is that we have voted out our confidence in old guys who are military-minded for younger guys who are more liberal and optimistic!.

However, many new cabinet members and secretaries are old politicos!. One reason is that the only people who understand financial problems are people who were part of the problem!. So we shall see about change!.

The REAL issue here is that we have political change in the USA without bloodshed and riots and military takeovers and dictators!. That is why it is good to live in the USA!. Hope this explanation makes sense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

change is not good just for the sake of change, it has to be a change in the right direction!.

If Obama changes what Bush has set in place to keep America safe, then we get hit again like 911, well then that change will be devastating, and Obama will be finished!.

If Obama implements his socialism plan for health care, then we will end up like France and Canada, waiting in line for surgery, not being able to see a specialist!. We don't need change in this area if those people come here to get heath care!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In my opinion, it is important so that all Americans get to see their opinions, their beliefs and their choices reflected!. We live in a democracy and everyone should feel that they are participating one way or another!. If there is no political change than extremism wins!. When one ideology dominates a government for the long term, whether is be a right-wing and left-wing ideology, it leaders to totalitarianism!.
