If you cancel WWII, then there would have been no Manhattan project and it could have been decades more before nuclear weaponry was invented!. Further, any cold war would much more likely have been between Hitler and Stalin!.

I can't envision any alternate history where Hitler and Stalin are both in power, but don't end up fighting each other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hitler did stay true to the Munich Agreement!. It allowed him to anex the Sudetenland, bordering Chekoslovakia!. And that's just what he did!. The Soviet Union wasn't even involved in the decision!. At that time, they were German Allies!.

There was nothing in the agreement to stop him from invading other countires!. And Hitler never said he wouldn't!.

World War II was caused by German and Japanese (and Soviet), expansionist designs!. The Cold War was caused by the Soviets two-faced policies!. They were never really Allies!. They just used us when it was conveinient!. They cowardly attempted to occupy territory they had no legal claim to, and oppressed people that were already beaten down by the US, and Great Britain!. This was the cause of the Cold War!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If Hitler had stayed true to the Munich Agreement, we can assume World War II wouldn't have begun!.

Without WW2, there wouldn't have been a Cold War!.

Without the invasion of Poland and the war that broke out after that, we can assume that Hitler wouldn't have developed an atomic bomb, nor would FDR or Stalin!. Thus I disagree with your last statement!.

The bomb would have eventually been developed, but you're getting into so many IFs that it is impossible to speculate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have no one but the United States and Britain to blame for Hitler's rise to power!. If they had enforced the Munich Agreement like they were supposed to, Hitler would not have been able to raise such a large military as he did!. The rest is history!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
