Question: Which is more of a fulfillment of MLK's dream!?
A president that is half black, half white or a white girl, black girl, and hispanic girl playing together!. As I sit here and my daughter plays with her friends, she does not think about their race!. She just sees friends that may look different but are her friends!. One is a classmate and one is a teammate!. That is all she knows!. Obama becoming president of the greatest nation on Earth is a great thing!. Although, I did not vote for him nor do I agree with him on the things he said during the campaign!. So as I sit here, I wonder which is the bigger fulfillment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The later by far, Obama being elected and so great BECAUSE he is half black sickens me a bit, just shows how racist society really is!.

To quote from Dr!. Kings "I have a dream speech" which shows it is for sure the later example you give

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood!.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice!.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character!.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that Martin Luther King Jr!., and his father, were amazing people!. All they wanteed , unlike many caucasian citizens at the time, was equal rights for everyone!. Including men, women, children, african americans, hispanic people, caucasians, asains, anyone!. They had so much to teach, that was great, while nobody would listen!. It was an amazing act, what they did!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
