1) they were being kicked out of a land they rightfully owned
2)the land they had to move to was not fertile at all and they had to re-build their whole lives
3)he said that the indians were becoming to civilized and assimilated and that they were making tougher bargains because they learned what the costs of things really were!. also, he just didn't like them

According to him, they were ‘the subjects’ of the Untied States, and are inhabiting the territory unlawfully!. It was just the corrupt leaders who wanted to keep the Indians so that they did not lose out from their cheap, easy labor(H)!. They were becoming too civilized; they placed higher values on their houses and it was just making the Americans suffer(M)!.
