This is a hard question to put into numbers; pretty much immediately after the fall of France in June 1940 until well into 1942 Hitler pretty much felt that England would 'see reason' and accept Peace, but aside from political rhetoric & speeches Hitler never formally sent over an ambassador to hash out actual terms!. Thus the offer was out there but mostly Hitler spoke as the Victorious Conqueror of France, never putting forth actual terms for peace, Hitler merely assumed that by continuing to bomb London and other English targets, that the English would be the ones asking for peace!. This was the sort of arrogance that cost Hitler & Germany dearly in the end!.

He never actually offered peace, he thought the brits would surrender after a lenghty bombing campaign!. Rudolf Hess however did fly to scotland in 1942 to offer peace to King George VI!. He said that germany would return western europe to their own national goverments, but german police would remain!. In return the UK would have to support a war against the soviet union!. Hess' strange behaviour and the fact that it became clear that Hess came to scotland without Hitler's knowledge led to the proposal being rejected!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There were considerations given to peace during 1940!. Britain standing alone and after its army chased out of France hitler thought the UK might come to terms, hitlers terms of course!. I believe there was an abortive attempt by some from the UK to dip toes in the water to see what was available!. Churchill fortunately was not of the type to see that through and came to power at the right time!.

The Battle of Britain ensued!. With the intention of operation Sea lion to follow soon as possible!. End of speculation with that intention but hitler continued to think there might be a chance (I have read)!.

He didnt!. He wanted to bring them to their knees so he could unite them in his Aryan Empire with Aryans as the uber race, slavs, blacks and asians as the slave race, and Jews and other people without a national homeland such as the Roma and Sinti wiped out!.
He didnt waver from this goal the entire campaign,when he finally saw it would not come to fruition he committed suicide

Good question!. I don't know that he ever did!. But if he did, it would have been under unrealistic terms of total oppression!. Hitler's vengeance for England was the same as it was for France, which went back to WW I!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
