Russia never start World War I!. Czarist Russia came to the aid of Serbia when Serbia came under attack by Austro-Hungary, Germany and their Balkan allies!. Germany then declared war on Russia!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Russia was as much responsible for the war as any other country because it was part of the European treaties of the Great Powers which formed competing blocs that caused the war to erupt over the death of Franz Ferdinand!.

The fallacy is that any one single country is responsible!.
