Some of it is!.
1!. Factually correct, but not relavant!. Thier political carrers bore little resemblance to each other!. Lincoln consistently failed to attain National offices, serving only one term in Congress before winning the Presidency!. Kennedy, on the other hand, won every election he ran in from WW-II on!. He was a political super-star!.
2!. It's hardly surpising that they would be elected president 100 years apart, when thier political carrers started 100 years apart, given the fact that elections are held every 4 years!. Again, irrelevant!.
3!. Abraham Lincoln could've cared less about Civil Rights!. He specifically stated he was not for equality of the black race, or ending slavery where it existed!. He said (rightly so) that it was Congresses place to address these issues!. The only thing he said positively about blacks was that he thought that they should have the same rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that is stated in the Constitution, AS LONG AS IT DID NOT ELEVATE THEM TO THE SOCIAL LEVEL OF WHITES!. So basically, he was just another two-faced politician telling people whatever they wanted to hear!. And then, like now, people ate it up like candy!. As I said before!.!.!.!.!.some things never change!. Kennedy was not overly concerned with Civil Rights either, and only acted on them when circumstances required it!.
4!. Technically incorrect and misleading!. The Lincolns had 4 children, two of which died from tuberculosis, and typhoid, during Lincolns Administration!. The Kennedys had 3 children, one of which died from complications of being premature, during the Administration!.
5!. Another irrelevant fact!. Absent other factors, the odds are already 1 in 7 that both would've happened on a Friday!. Add to that the fact that most assasinations have to occur in a public setting (unless it's an inside job), and that most people only go out on weekends, it becomes even less surprising!.
6!. Again, no surprise here!. The only way to ensure a dead victim with a gunshot is a shot to the chest, or the head, with the head being the surest kill shot!. Now, look at the differences!. Lincoln was shot indoors with a single pistol-shot at point-blank range, and Kennedy was shot outdoors from several hundred feet away, and with multiple shots, only one of which was in the head!.
7!. Lincoln never had a secretary name Kennedy!. His secretaries were John G!. Nicolay, and John Hay!. JFK's secrerary was Evelyn Lincoln!.
8!. Untrue!. While Booth was a "Southern Sympathizer", he was born in, and a residient of the State of Mayland!. Oswald, while being born in La!., and resided for a short period of time in Tx!. spent most of his life in New York, the Marine Corps, and for a time, in the USSR!.
9!. Again, no surprise!. Johnson is one of the most common surnames, right after Smith, in the U!.S!. then, and now!. The fact that both VPs were southerners is just typical politics!. Both Candidates were from the north, and needed a Southern VP to get Southern votes!. They still do that even today!.
10!. Most people attain high political office in their 50s-70s, so this is not surprising, and not really much of a coincidence!. The fact that is was 100 years apart is irrelevant!. And the Johnsons were completely different politically, and socially!.
11!. Untrue!. Booth was born in 1838!.
12!. Most people have 3 names!. A lot of names have the same number of letters!.!.!.!.!.so what!?
13!. Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford!.'"
OK!. This one is a neat coinicidence, but meaningless!. It's just a cool factoid!. But is is a legitimate coincidence!.
14!. Incorrect, unless you want to stretch definitions!. Ford's 'Theater' was actually a 'Playhouse' by modern definition!. And Booth was shot in a Tobacco Shed, not a warehouse!. also, Booth fled across state lines!. Oswald remained in Dallas, and was taken alive in a movie theater!. He was shot at the Dallas Police Station Headquarters, while handcuffed to Detective J!. R!. Leaville, DPD !.
15!. Incorrect!. Booth was not assassinated!. He was shot fleeing Law Enforcement officers attempting to arrest him!. He was a Fugitive!. He was never placed in custody!.
16!. Totally false!. Marilyn Monroe had been dead for well over a year before the Kennedy Assassination!.

I hope this helps!.
By the way, I was in Dallas when Kennedy and Oswald were shot, and I still remember the events vividly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, it is primarily true!. However, it is also meaningless! There is no point! They are coincidences! Not completely random, but in the grand scope of things, these are not terribly significant facts!. What's more important is the fact that Booth was a "Copperhead" or Southern Democrat, and Oswald hated the Governor of Texas, who was riding next to Kennedy in the car!. So there were individual motives; a grand conspiracy is only possible in movies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Biggest glitch
Monroe died 14 months before Kennedy

otherwise, followed the curse of the Presidents pretty well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some of it's correct, some of it's not!. Check the Snopes page for a good rundown!.

The ones I know off hand are that Lincoln did NOT have a secretary named Kennedy; that neither was known by all three names in their lifetime (and in fact we tend to call murderers by all three names as some sort of sign of distinction, since John Wilkes Booth's day) -- Booth was known professionally as "Wilkes Booth," I think, and Oswald as "Lee" by family and friends!.

John Wilkes Booth was actually born in 1838, not '39!. And Marilyn Monroe died over a year before JFK was assassinated, so that part is just stupid!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
