Our troops were under fire from unseen snipers in a riot and after taking Irish violence for years and being stopped from fighting back they flipped and fought back and being they are some of the best troops in the world the Irish were defeated and the Irish didn't like people fighting back and complained bitterly that some of their people had been killed!.!.So our British PC brigade that hates anything British joined in and instead of supporting our young men they condemned them !. Helped by a weak government it became a scandal !. But of course it was never mentioned that 3000 of our people had been killed by the IRA in the previos few years!. In other words they took the easy road out made little mewing noises and apologised , cowards they were then and will always be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are two Bloody Sundays in Irish history!. The older one came on 21 November 1920 in Dublin, during the Irish War of Independence (1919 - 1921), which led to the deaths of more than 30 people!. According to a Wikipedia writer,

"The day began with the killing of fourteen of eighteen British intelligence agents of the Cairo Gang, or their informants, by the Irish Republican Army!. Later that afternoon, British forces opened fire on the crowd at a Gaelic football match in Croke Park in north Dublin, killing 14 civilians!. That same evening there were scattered shootings in the city streets, and three Irish prisoners in Dublin Castle were killed by their British captors under suspicious circumstances!."

The more recent one was on 30 January 1972 in Derry,[Northern Ireland, in which 26 civil rights protesters were shot by members of the 1st Battalion of the British Parachute Regiment during a Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march in the Bogside area of the city!.

To get an idea of what they were like, read the first two descriptions following the links to Wikipedia!. The third link goes to the official inquiry, and the fourth goes to the Cain project which has photos and a very good documentation and explanation on what happened!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
