In the direct empire there was France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, north western Italy, Rome and the Papal States, the Catalonia region of Spain, the Rhineland, part of northern Germany, and the Illyrian provinces!.

Countries that were not part of the empire but were French protectorates include the Confederation of the Rhine, Kingdom of Italy, Kingdom of Naples, Duchy of Warsaw, Swiss Confederation, Kingdom of Spain (Spain was never truly under French control due to the Peninsular War)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
