Question: Stonehenge built by mayan people!?
BUT IF SO WHY ITS IN ENGLAND!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
No!. The Maya lived in central America!. Stonehenge was built by Neolithic Britons, who had nothing to do with the Maya!.

Other stone structures were built in England, like Avebury, and there are many stone circles and stone rows in Cornwall!. There is a huge stone circle on the isle of Lewis in the outer Hebrides, and there are impressive stone rows in Brittany (in France) , most notably at Carnac!.

None of these buildings had anything to do with the Maya, who commenced their building activites many centuries after Stonehenge was built, and thousands of miles away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!.!.!.

The Maya were a Central American nation!. The first appearance of Mayan culture was around 2500 B!.C!. The height of Mayan culture was between 250 AD and 900 AD!.

Stonehenge, on the other hand, is in Central England and was probably built around 2500 B!.C!. (from 2000 to 3000 B!.C!.), which is about 1500 years before the appearance of Celtic culture, including the Druids, in England!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
