Question: I dont understand about A!.D, B!.C!.!.!.i!.e, 100A!.D 200B!.C !? how to know this time line!?
my question may sound ridiculous but help me plz!.!.!.
I have toefl exam, in that i offen face about time periods like 1000BC!.!.!. 600AD!.!.!.and i need to convert it into which century!? like 17 century!.!.like that!.
1) so my question is how can we know more about this time periods!?
2) 20 century is is of what time peroid!?
3) what is the initial year!?
4) is this 21st century!?!.!.we are still at 2008 so it should be 20th century know!?
5) what is AD and BC!? why are they raised!?

when you need to convert years into century just do +1 to the first number
like our year is 2008 and if you convert it to cenury you will do 20 + 1 and it will be 21st century, the same with other years!. Like 1898 will be 19th century (18 +1)!. Hope this will help you to remember :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
01!. BC an abbreviation for Before Christ i!.e!. refers to time period before Christ was born!. AD an abbreviation for Anno Domint (of Christian era) i!.e!. refers to time period after birth of Christ!.
Then you have CE and BCE!. They stand for Common Era and Before Common Era!. Both are now used to refer to AD and BC respectively!.
