Question: During the WW1 what was Germany's flag!?

I've looked on the internet and I got a few different flags!.!.!.!.!. and I just wanted to use the right one for my poster!.

Germany's Imperial battle flag was white backed with the German Coat of arms at the intersection of a black cross!. The Imperial German flag was in the field with a Maltese Cross in the middle of it!. Here is a picture of it!.
