Fascinating time! But would I like it back!? No way! The Emperor was god, or at least, considered to be the 13th apostle, with ABSOLUTE power over his subjects, mortally, morally and religiously!. They were absolutely OBSESSED with the most obscure religious questions, and happily killed each other in the thousands in defence of their beliefs!.
