Of course I will concentrate on the Western World!.
1) the French Revolution -- everybody (except US) thought it would spread like wildfire across Europe!.
USA -- very sympathetic
2) The first battles (mini-wars) of Napoleon, for instance in Egypt (The UK were very worry)!.
USA -- not concerned
3) The beginning of the industrial revolution!.
Later on join the movement!.
