Question: What did the majority of German soldiers do while occupying France in ww2 !?
They were there almost 4 years after invading it, unitll the allies drove them out, but what did they do during that time!. Iam talking about the Wehrmacht Www@QuestionHome@Com

What soldiers of any Occupation Army do: on duty they stand watch, guard their various stations, like headquarters, post offices, occupation police stations, telephone exchanges, coal mines, electric generators!.!.!.any asset that the occpying power (Nazi Germany) wants to safe guard!. Just like American soldiers in Iraq do!.

Off duty, they drink, gamble, go to movies, and chase girls, just like any other soldiers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Building up the Northern Atlantic Wall, adding cannons, mines, bunkers, 88's, machine guns and trenches around Northen France in hopes of stopping the Allies from coming in!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

France was a great assignment for them!.
