Question: What Do You Think of This Evidence of the Bibles Accuracy!?

It is exciting, we know the truth, but hopefully others will see it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't see that it will change much between the tides of bible believers and non-believers!.!.!.or battles between religions over the bible's "true" interpretations or accuracy!. The bible's archaeological accuracy is well known to be very impressive, backing defending religions claims that it must be true!. The bible has led to many discoveries, some right near where the bible said they would be!. On the flip side; people can also argue the reality that it was common for books of the times to use actual archaeological reference and geography -even real people- in fictional story telling!. (example; Homer's "The Iliad" geography and other real-world references were so convincing that it STILL has people finding the "real" city of Troy today, hah, discovering many artifacts and supporting evidence in locations approximate to where The Iliad said the evidence would be!. Many now believe the city to be a myth, but it may never be settled past everyone!.) This allows the argument that the bible isn't out of the woods for non-believers!. I guess it comes down to a Faith call!.

Unfortunately I don't think there's much of ANYTHING -evidence wise- that can be uncovered that will really prove or disprove the bible's authenticity or word to the World!. Again, it's always going to come down to call of FAITH, not physical discovery!.

Well, I am a great fan of biblical archaeology!.

That being said, this offers little in the way of "evidence of the bible's accuracy"!.!.!.!.

Even if scholars determine that it is, in fact, an early form of Hebrew, all that proves is that Hebrew was being written (presumably by Jews) in Canaan at about the time of David's reign!.

This is much more interesting:

although the account is different from that of the bible (which you would expect - don't forget how Saddam claimed that he had already won the war just before escaping into hiding!.!.!.), it shows clearly that the war recounted in the bible at the time of David did, in fact, take place!. This, to my mind, is far more significant than (potential) proof of the mere existence of Hebrew writers living in Canaan at that time!.

I saw the news on finding this artifact!. The more man digs the more they will realize the accuracy of the Bible!. "Even the stones will cry out"!.!.!.No matter, we know the Bible is inspired and we don't need to know if mankind authorizes it or not!. Do you spend time out in the ministry or are you incapacitated!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm anxious to hear more about it, and see what it completely says once they get it totally translated!. For it to be 1000 years older than the Dead Sea Scrolls is remarkable enough to have time and attention spent on it!.

For Gail - Was there a reason for asking the questioner if she spent time in the ministry or was incapacitated!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Another example of why the religions of this world have put their foot in their mouths before ALL tangible truth has been revealed!. We don't need to because we have faith in God's Word as it stands!. It will be interesting to see what it says when it's completely translated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think its pretty cool how they found something so old, and whatnot!.

But they haven't been able to decipher it yet so their is no proof of it actually being biblical, I'm just saying, even though I'm a Christan and believe in everything in the Bible, and stuff, yeah!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day!. I think the bible was always accurate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is where David Slew the giant Goliath!. All what they find is exciting but wouldn't it be nice to actually ask David himself when he's resurrected on earth, all about that battle with the giant!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I read that when it first came out and sent it to some of the Witnesses that I knew!. I was excited!. Thanks for sharing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Really interesting!. Thank you very much!. I will share it!.

Greetings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with you!. Plus carbon dating isn't 100% either!. It would be so exciting if something were found with YHWH on it!. Would make many start to think!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
