The great powers playing for points against each other!. The Russians will not risk a direct attack on the United States unless the United States does the same thing first!. Believe it or not, the Russians do not want to glow in the dark!. The most that will happen is that the Russians will send arms and supplies to Iran the way the US sent arms and supplies to Afghanistan during the 1980's!. The great powers rarely go to war directly!. When they do, it is because one side or the other has lost its mind!. It's very messy and the outcome is unpredictable!.
