I agree with Charlie D for Ancient Rome: a wealthy father and the makings of a housewife; it was true for Greece too!.

For Greece it was wearing embroidered fabric, jewelry, mascara, and rouge!. They liked oils and lotions so I guess soft skin was considered beautiful as well!.

A good potential father in law would also be one with high status in the community!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not sure about what make woman in ancient Rome attractive but i know that they had arranged marriages back then, so maybe attractions wasn't so important!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
