-there was no more slavery in the USA
-before the war, people would say "the united states are!.!.!." Now, they say "the United States is!.!.!."
-black people were granted certain rights that the whites had as well

A large amount of unassimilated n/e*gro ex-slaves entered society!.

The Northern carpet baggers exploited a defeated & ruined South for its finance and labor!.

A large population of American citizens, both Northern & Southern, were killed off!.

Civil war innovations such as the Gatling Gun and the armored plated, swivel turrented USS MONITOR got noticed by the European super-powers (England, France, and Russia)!.

Commercial and Investment banking interests were opened in the South forcing 'hard money' upon poor rural Southerners!. (Loans were hard to get for subsistant farmers)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
