Question: Some research on 1944 election!?- What were FDR and Dewey running on!?
I have to do a big project on the 1944 and 2008 election!. Does any1 know what Franklin Roosevelt and what Thomas Dewey were running on!? Like I know one of the things that Dewey was running on was against the New Deal!?!? Anything else!?!?!? I need 5 things for each one! Thank you so much for your help!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably the biggest issue that Dewey ran on was the notion that FDR had been in office so long that he becoming a king of sorts, before FDR no other president ran for a third term and in that election there were slogans to the effect of "Washington wouldn't, Lincoln couldn't, Roosevelt shouldn't"!. By 1944 the tide of war had turned completely in favor of the Allies so even Dewey knew he had no chance but tried his best to make people fear a Roosevelt dictatorship!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
