Telephone, telegraph, and Postal Service--snail mail!.

That's about it really!.!.!.!.radio doesn't kick in until the *very* end of the 1800s, beginning of the 1900s!.

One of the things you may want to search up on your own, is how the *systems* got organized!. The technology was really primitive back in the 1800s!.!.!.but if people didn't get *organized* at that level back then, a lot of what works so well now wouldn't have worked!.

Without reliable phone access, the internet couldn't have existed!. It took the Pony Express and its making snail mail reliable everywhere in the U!.S!. to actually get it in people's heads that mail could be counted on--and that in time, email would be worthwhile!.

And in both cases, it was a matter of getting the *people* organized and ready well ahead of the technology, which wouldn't improve for decades!.

Hope this points you in the right direction!. ^__^ Good luck to you!Www@QuestionHome@Com
