Who built the Pyramids?

Question: Who built the Pyramids!?

I know the Egyptians built the Pyramids, and I know the answer to my question about who in Egypt built the pyramids!. I'm just seeing how much true knowledge the general public has on the subject!.

If you think it was slaves, elaborate on which slaves!.

Josh is mixed up!. There's no evidence the Jews were ever enslaved in Egypt, and nowhere I've ever seen was it said that they built the Pyramids!. Even Exodus itself doesn't say that!.

L W78 is correct!. The Pyramids were an enormous public-works project, and it was done with paid labor, not slaves!. Subjects throughout the kingdom were conscripted to work on the Pyramids, but that's not slavery--they were paid, and it wasn't necessarily for life!. It was more like being drafted into the military than entering into slavery!. Archeologists have found there was a thriving community in the workers' area!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The common people, when not employed in farming (or wars) built the pyramids for their pharohs!.

Some groups like the Hebrews who were enslaved also worked on them, (if you believe the Book of Genesis - the Hebrews ended up in Egypt after famine in Canaan) but they would have been a minority!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was not Slaves!. They have proven that it was true craftsmen/women who lived in the surrounding area!. These peoples remains are in excellent "health" with repairs made that are close to what could be done today on bones such as legs, heads etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
