Wikipedia does list sources which if you go through may provide you with names thus letting you list them as sources!. also, this was a 1919 Supreme Court case, meaning look up the names of the Supreme Court Justices in 1919!. As the justices sit for life or until they resign, the chances would be quite a good any of the nine justices on the Supreme Court in 1919Www@QuestionHome@Com

Both Wikipedia and any Encyclopedia are not accurate enough for citation in a formal history paper!.

Wikipedia is equivalent to citing the graffitti off a wall or out of a men's room, it is simply a collection of unverified opinions!.

Wikipedia is a source of general information that can be as inaccurate or accurate as the person who made the contribution and always has to be verified!.

Knight11 has it right, go and use the sources that wikipedia used to cite their material!.

As for "anyone being able to edit it," that is not true!. Anyone can contribute, but the work is checked before posted!.

The other option is to do what I used to do to find out which teachers were seriously doing their job!. I would use a reference of a book I made up!. I'd use the name William Christopher (an actor from the show, MASH) and see if they noticed that he had not written a book about The Whooping Crane, Western Civilization, my favorite novel!. !. !. !. !.I did this once a year since I was in the 4th grade!. Teachers are so bogged down that they'd have to be fairly extraordinary to check any of your references!.

The truth is, the fact that you have references leads them not to check your work as often, because they know you didn't plagiarize!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This site will give you the name of the Justice who wrote the majority opinion and the names of the two dissenters!. If you already have a site that provides the names of all the Justices on the 1919 Court, you can use that for the names of the other six who concurred in the majority opinion!.

Instructors don't like Wikipedia because anyone can edit it and anyone can alter the information, therefore, they see it as not being factual!. Try other online encyclopedias!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
