Early US foreign policy was based more on morality than nation interest!. for example the XYZ affair - although it would have been in the countries best interest to pay the ransom to negotiate with the officials, we choose the moral path and refused - hence the moral based slogan "millions for defense but not one cent for tribute"Www@QuestionHome@Com
